Blog Spammers and Random Pictures
Couple of changes to the site - most outwardly visible is the random picture on the right hand side of the page. Read on below for some technical details, or don’t bother if you’re not the technical type.
It only took a month for the blog spammers to start trying to post their crap on my site. I have comments set for moderation, but it’s annoying having to go approve/deny crap I don’t want in the first place. I installed MT-Blacklist, a plugin that should hopefully cut down on the amount of junky comments and trackback pings that this blog gets.
While I was at it, I attempted to get a couple of random picture scripts working, and was finally able to get block-random-enhanced embedded in the frankenstein nightmare that is my homebrew template system on this site.

Lol. MC6800 assembly on the computer and 150 dead monkeys in Mihai’s closet. Damn, those were the days.
