Pirate Postings on Pop Culture and Scurvy

Random sputterings on travel, midgets, too much salt water, and of course scurvy. Yarr.

Updates to the photo gallery

I’ve added a couple of new galleries to my photo collection and updated a few others. Now featuring more captions and less blurry shots (party pics excluded).

Some highlights:
R/V Roger Revelle was working in a similar area to where we are in right now on Melville, but they went a wee bit further south, down to the Antarctic Circle. Captain Dave Murline sent a couple of emails with pictures of icebergs and stories of busted weatherboards and broken windows.

I sailed on two cruises in the Gulf of California from March to May of 2004. I neglected to post my pictures at the time, but due to sheer boredom I managed to find them this trip. It appears I failed to use my camera once during the entire time I was in Mazatlan, Mexico prior to the first cruise, which is probably a good thing since I seem to remember getting totally lost in the stairwells of my hotel, climbing over a fence, and landing on top of a bunch of shrubs all while drunk out of my mind.

And finally, I found a few more pictures from my time in South Africa in 2003 that I didn’t post before. I somehow neglected to mention that the castle had a darn belltower. Or a moat.

There are other random little updates here and there, so if you’re bored like me, check out my photo gallery and muse over all of the places I’d rather be than the middle of the southern ocean right now.
