I decided to migrate my site from MovableType to WordPress, due to lingering problems I was having with installation and maintenance of MovableType. Wordpress seems to work much better, in terms of editing posts, configuring plug-ins, and embedding Gallery. Plus it’s open source, which MovableType no longer is.

I’m in the midst of migrating the MovableType archives over to WordPress, but I’m having an entertaining time of it. I have yet to find a working FAQ on how to get this done in an automated fashion, so I’ve had to play around with .htaccess files and mod_rewrite by hand. Not fun for 60+ posts.
