This happened on my ride home yesterday…

The metal is actually torn. The broken part hangs out a good inch and change from the rest of the chain ring. Funny thing is that I was actually in the small gear at the time of the break and didn’t notice it until I got to the top of the steep hill near the Birch Aquarium. I guess my cranks aren’t very rigid on this bike.
